I got that to work and am now back on the ROM from your OP. What is the benefit of using the recovery.backup file? It seems to be back to stock and I might just stop while the stopping is good unless it is critical

That's just a backup of the stock recovery.

alright just read this whole thread, i've got my Thrill running with Doomed Froyo V2.0 and need to return it to ATT cause it's a piece of junk phone, they said there was info on the phone they needed when i was talking to them and i was wondering what it is, i just hung up so they didn't find out it was rooted. Can someone give me what i need to do so i can call them back and return it? theres a lot of links on here and it's confusing to sort out, thanks!

ok... well all i did was go into clockworkmod recovery and go to "backup and restore" then advance restore and the oldest date on my phone... superuser is still there and so is clockworkmod but it got rid of the ROM... should this be good to return to ATT???

ok i done it the same way to flash a rom in cwr but i cant update nuttin nor the market ....is there a way i can download the new market in apk or what...jw

......edited....

nevermind lol...thank god i went though all the pages here and found the stock rom + root download on here and after i flash that rom i just restore back to one my old restore on under clockwork folder and just restore that ..went back to what i had and everything works great now back to stock which sucks but incase i need to goto stock again...

will this even revert the baseband to stock if you are on a gb baseband?

Yes, if you flash any of the v10 firmwares, you will be back on the Froyo baseband and able to use Froyo-based ROMs again.

so in other words this method will flash a v10 baseband?
