Have a quick question.

A friend is interested in rooting his Nook Tablet, and he was worried that if we ended up having to resort to using the 1.4.0 recovery rom at a later date, will he lose the apps/books he has already bought through the B&N stores?

Basically, are his purchases linked to his B&N account? Can he redownload them for free after restoring?

It looks like we might have to revert to 1.4.0 to avert some issues with rooting on 1.4.2.

I'm pretty sure his purchases are linked to his B&N account, but want confirmation before I go wiping the slate clean.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Yes he can redownload everything no problem, same thing apply when you buy apps on Android market. That's the point of buy otherwise wouldn't have sense to even buy/sell this devices if you have to re-buy everything.

Anything purchased from B&N will forever be available for re-download. Even using the android B&N app, all of your purchases should still be there.
