WiFi speeds

Ok I have cable internet which on a wired connection I get right around 45m/second. On my laptop over WiFi I get around 20 I understand I loose some because of WiFi, however when I do a speed test on my phone I only get 5 is there a way to get faster WiFi on my phone?

Try upgrading to the newest radios. Get them here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485 . While in WiFi settings, hit your menu button. Should be a option for advanced settings. Click the one for best WiFi performance. It may help

Are you using an Wireless N router and a WiFi N enabled kernel?

I have great speed with a N band Kernnal and a N and multi band router with cable internet
