Spoofing carrier on Android Market

Obviously, my market shows Verizon apps and Wireless Tether for Root Users is 'unavailable on this carrier'. I am on cricKet wireless using CM7.1.0. My question is how to spoof this cricKet carrier on the marketplace. I'm thinking it has something to do with a build.prop-like file, but I'm not sure.

It would be easier just to get it directly from the developer...

Yeah, I got that already, but I'm building a Moto Droid cricKet ROM, and I want the market to download cricKet apps.

Edit your build.prop to this:

ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-sprint-us

Replace sprint with your choice of carrier

There's a much easier way now...

Just download "Market enabler" from the market. You can "spoof" as many different carriers and countries.
