bug solution..

As posted before, i found an ungly bug.. When booting up, the unlock sim dialog never appears, and the phone .. isnt a phone anymore... No calls/sms/3g etc..

Posting some extra info, so the dev maybe try to fix it..
I installed gt+ 2.5 ..
Tried w/ or w/o restoring my data with TiBu, and bug appeared both tries.
Also double checked my sim card, and was fine.
So this is Rom's bug.

Additional info:
I have my phone fingerprint locked, and "Skip on security" opt enabled!

Fortunately i found a temporary and useful solution, so i have again a smartphone (before that i got only smart.. )
Settings->Location&Security->Set Up SIM Card Lock-> And..
Disable Lock Sim Card and then enter your pin (no you disabled PIN)
Enable Lock Sim Card, reenter your pin (enabled again)
and now you got your phone working again.

Anybody else experienced this bug? Or i m the only one?

I'm not sure if many people use Sim lock tbh.

On another topic, I commented out all the renice commands in supercharger, fixed permissions and rebooted. standby drain has gone down to below 10mAh. Can't fully test until tonight as it's middle of the day and my phone is not getting much sleep tbh. So, promising, but we'll see...

What's the average battery life with moderate to heavy usage?

Sent from my MB860 using XDA

It depends on how you flash it, follow the link in my signature and you should get good battery life. The link leads to a post that contains instructions on how to patch it for the battery, APN and data fixes.

Tbh I would just wait for 2.6 to come out.

When I try to put the files in the right folders, it tells me I can't because they are read-only.

Did you try deleting the S20defrag from the /system/etc/init.d folder? Try doing that, then reboot, alot of people have had that work for them

Sent from my MB860 using xda premium

Well i didn't try that. Im on Cm7 nightly right now and no issues till now. Maybe that works but i prefer that the rom comes with all of that scripts ready for use

Understandable, but notorious cannot find and fix all the bugs himself, this is true of any developer. It takes users like you and me to find the bugs and submit them, to make matters worse, most devs rely on users like us, to fix those bugs. Not that notorious is one of those over reliant devs, but I've seen it alot.

That's ok! And is true. But i think that a good way to fix it is to star over again and take the last nightly and put all of his features again and see how that works, easy to say, don't know if easy to do ;)

Unfortunately the next update may not have support for CM7 themes. I'm trying to find a way to prevent this, and I'll let everybody know the final decision.

Another little thing, would you lot prefer the attached 'FP thumb' rather than the original?

I've attached both. It should be farely obvious which the new one is

Please don't feel that 'I must say the Neutrino ROM one or else Notorious will think I'm evil' - NO, I just want your personal opinion on which looks nicer and I won't be offended in any way.

Btw credit goes to 'Mike' - I'm not sure what his XDA username is.

    - Massive 54% cut in size

    Please read before downloading

This is an enormously STRIPPED DOWN ROM. Many features YOU need may NOT be available in the base package. If there is any loss of functionality, you'll need to flash an ADDON by clicking the link below.

Before you download, ensure your contacts are saved onto your SD card or memory card. Contact/calender sync is not included natively, you must flash the 'Sync addon.'

This is a CM7 BASED ROM. So anything that doesn't work on CM7 like Webtop will NOT work on this ROM also. Please do not request non-CM7 features.
    Install Instructions:
**Firstly make sure you have the latest RomRacer's recovery!!**
Then choose to wipe using any one of the following two wiping methods:
    For clean wipe:
Moto-fastboot -w, erase system/boot/preinstall, then install from INTERNAL .ZIP!

    For easy wipe:
Go into recovery, and install from INTERNAL .ZIP!
Wiping data may not be necessary with every update, but it's best to flash clean. However, if you regularly flash the updates, you'll most likely need to wipe data at some stage anyway.
**DO NOT WIPE DATA AFTER INSTALLING!!!**
Make sure you flash the 'Lite gapps' in to get the barebone google apps.

Then, after booting, click on script manager, navigate to /system/etc and run NitroCharger.sh as ROOT and at BOOT!
It is also HIGHLY recommended to download the GPS Mod found in #2.
    Then you're done.

Q: Are you going to be working on CM9?
Yep, I'm working on it right now :)

Q: My phone doesn't boot with this ROM - it get's stuck on the dual-core screen :(
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ROMRACER'S RECOVERY!!!! CHANGE IT NOW!

Q: Why is performance settings in CMparts removed?
A lot of options in performance settings will conflict with the tweaks in this ROM. All the options in performance settings have been included in the ROM anyway, but have been optimised for the best settings. So don't worry about it. If you REALLY want to head over to performance settings, then long press on homescreen and select shortcut. Add CMparts>Performance Settings and you will gain access. But seriously, there's really no point.

Q: My phone shows that I have very low free RAM!
Here's a fat explanation on how the RAM works in Android.

Q: My phone can't scan files on my SDcard?
CM7 mounts the SDcard and internal memory opposite to Motorola. To switch back to 'stock style,' navigate to /settings/CMsettings/application > Check 'use internal storage' and reboot.

Q: Does this ROM support landscape mirroring?
    Yep.

Q: How do you get those cool 'ICS style' rings like in the screenshots?
Go to Settings/CMsettings/Lockscreen/Style options/Ring-Lock style and change to 'holo.'

Q: What does the BOOST script do?
It will 'defrag' databases, so make them smaller (faster to read, so apps will open faster) as well as freeing the caches. Do NOT run this script at boot!!!!! It is to be used if your phone starts to feel a big sluggish or laggy, then just run the script with SU and that's it.
