Well what you said makes a lot of sense after googling about it but it didnt work for me. Still stuck on 1x, i also put the preferred network type on to CDMA auto (PRL) and it picks up the 1x connection faster because it's not searching for the LTE connection. Oh well, i'm just gonna leave eHRPD on enable, who knows maybe one day it'll randomly get 3g. Not like i can use LTE anyways so it wouldn't matter if i had it on eHRPD.

I'm not sure what to tell you but i have 2.3.6 also and followed the instructions exactly on the video, first go around it worked perfectly for talk/text for me, the data was the only part that had me frustrated and struggling but now everything works perfectly except for 3g data. That'll be cool to have but i rather have some data than none so 1x is fine for now. I know it wasn't much help but i just wanted you to know it's not because you're running 2.3.6

AFAIK, you need flash RUU/original radio and only put the 3g radio.
donot flash leaked radio or 4g radio.

1. Master Reset the phone.
.....
27. On phone, hit menu, then reboot to embedded mode.
28. once rebooted, dial ##program, 000000 as the SPC.
29. in CDMA Nam settings, scroll down to sid/nid pairs 0.
30. change the sid to whatever it is for you (all page plus if you don't know yours). Leave the NID at 65535.
31. Commit changes via menu key.

I've not had to move the number off of and back onto the phone. There has been a massive amount of trial and error. This seems to work on 2.1 and 2.3.4.

I'm not responsible for you bricking your phone. Also, the 2.7 version of CDMA workshop that is floating around will not work. Pony up the dough for CDMA Workshop. it costs $108.

Notes: Outgoings calls do not work without a SIM card. The dialer freezes up. Data will not work with the 4G LTE SIM card. You only get a 1x data icon, but the speed seems to be on par with any other phone. You will receive a message at boot about the SIm not being registered, or being unknown. Ignore it. If it works, it works.

Hope this helps all of you.
Thank you very much, this worked for me.

I can't test data yet (i have shoddy service), but texts and calls work great.
