In case someone needs the actual error as confirmation in 1.6.3, here it is:
E/Vold ( 1389): Error opening devmapper (No such file or directory)
E/Vold ( 1389): ASEC device mapping failed (No such file or directory)
This prevents some apps from installing or updating, even after the workaround for existing applications. The user symptom is:
Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card.
While this is frequently caused by smdl2tmp1.asec getting left behind, in this case it's the devmapper missing in 1.6.3.
If someone has a workaround until 1.6.4 (or whenever a fix is issued), it would be appreciated. Reinstalling Urukdroid every time you want to update a package isn't really workable.
Edit: From http://odroid.foros-phpbb.com/t534-c...g-from-kernel:
> It looks like your kernel is missing device mapper support:
> CONFIG_BLK_DEV_DM, (depends on CONFIG_MD)
> Also enable DM_CRYPT, DM_UEVENT and CRYPTO_TWOFISH (needed by asec).
