GREETINGS
Welcome to the HTC US/Canada devive forums

Whether you are new to XDA or a seasoned veteran, it's always good to acquaint or refresh yourself on some simple aspects.

The XDA Forum rules:
Quote:

Can be viewed HERE. Please read and follow. Thank you.

Posting within the forum please See above:
Quote:

All questions, requests, and help & troubleshooting should go in the Q&A Help & Troubleshooting sub-forum, if one exists for your device, and any misplaced messages will be moved to their respective location. Users that make it a habit of posting in the wrong forum will be addressed accordingly. The Forum Rules are clear on where posts/threads should go.

Please remember, Development threads are...
Quote:

Quote:

For Developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs and Kernels including modifications to kernels, bootloaders, ROMs, etc

With this in mind, please read the OP of every ROM thread FIRST. If a Developer mentions "Please use the Q&A", please do this, or your post may be removed. If the Developer does not indicate the aforementioned, you most likely can post anything (quasi ROM related) within reason.

ETA's (Estimated Time of Arrival) Considered taboo?
Quote:

Asking for an ETA is the XDA equivalent of telling a Developer that the free work they do just isn't enough for you. It usually comes across as rude and/or demanding, and most developers will take offense to it. Even if a particular Developer doesn't mind being asked for an ETA, there are many that do, and there's a good possibility that it will incite arguments in the forum. In the end, it's just best to avoid doing it altogether. If you have no other choice but to ask for an ETA (i.e. the work you're doing absolutely depends on it), then please, do it through a private message and keep it out of the public forums.

Helping to keep the forum free of issues / trouble:
Quote:

Please use the report button for any signs of offense. This lets moderators know we need to take action. Please do not confront others. Directions on [Using "Report" button] can be found here.

Help others if you can:
Quote:

If you see posts from others where you can help out, please do so. This place exists because people are helping each other, and even if you are relatively new to the matter, there's probably quite a few people with less experience than you, who could benefit from what you've learned. Don't be shy.

Bumping a thread:
Quote:

(posting simply to force a thread to the top of the thread queue). Please Do not "bump" a thread more than once per 24 hours.

Forum etiquette / Golden rule:
Quote:

This is basic, but is not always followed One should not treat others in ways that one would not like to be treated

Thank you
