This is the same issue that i encountered. My phone restarts then erases everything on my phone. Ive tried flashing all the roms that i know but still no good. There is only one solution. For this is known to be a hardware failure. Just send it back samsung service service.

They replaced the handset in how many days?

Guys,

I went to the service centre and they had replaced my motherboard.
Now the phone works fine with froyo 2.2.1.
But still i am getting force close errors sometimes.....
And also fed up with froyo......

I would like to update it to GB.
But not sure whether to do it or not!!!
Because i am afraid of may the restarting issue will come again after the GB upgrade....
And also my warranty period is over........

Hi all,

I upgraded my phone to GB. Now its working very very good.

After all testing & flashing, I found that my phone supports the Arabic fw. Now I am on GB 2.3.6 JPKPE.

Thanks to all....

Now my concern is Arabic fw is having some system applications which I don't need. And I want to remove them.
Since it is system application I am not able to remove them.
Also I want to set s3 theme on my phone.

I did some search and got a lot of opinions like after rooting it is possible. Somewhere I found deodexing will do it.
But I really don't know any of this methods.

I would like to know the procedure for rooting/deodexing my phone.
OR is there any application/simple way to remove the system application without rooting???

What are the applications you want to remove?
