EDIT: SUCCESS!!! Once I tried it on an XP VM that I have, it worked like a charm. All 3 PCs where the instructions failed were Win7 x64 PCs.

yeah i remember a long time ago having to use XP for some driver issues. none-the-less i will have to find an xp machine or create a VM just for this..lol

mmm got the same issue as others it goes in to fastboot and but dont have time to install the drivers

manage to do this on my x64 Windows 7.

key thing is to get the right drivers


I download the drivers from here, http://download.theandroidsoul.com/f...ootloaders.zip

and use the fastboot drivers from the drivers folder.

then in that few seconds where the phone is in fastboot mode, I update the drivers accordingly.

The problem I think is Windows 7 will automatically redirect the driver installation to default/generic installation if it can't find the driver for the device. So perhaps to avoid it totally it's to use gpedit.msc to stop the redirection of the devices..

Basically, using the Sony apps, you can download copyright-protected material like music and movies. These are protected by DRM keys.

Without the keys, you need to push the music/copy it/download it the usual way.

has DRM anything to do with the playstation store/games because it would be a same if you unlock it and lose the playstation certified games abbility

nope DRM is not connected to PS games

I'm trying the VM way now as well, because I can't get it to even try to install the drivers, i can point to the drivers but it says it cant find them :/

Okay! so for Win7 x64, use the arc drivers that were attached from zenkinz, it works!
