Hi Frosty, I've seen those concepts and they are quite cool. The thing is, they're just concepts, and there were never any announcements that these would ever make it into the final product. It does give us ideas on what we should be doing with tiles once we have more control over them. As of now, we are focused on popular features that users want (like image cutting within phone app), but we will implement cooler things like these animations in future updates. Thanks for sharing!

BTW, there is a request for this feature on user voice as well. Make sure you vote for it:

this is now my second theme for the awesome wistiles

I really miss the summer nights with a cold one around a table with my mates...so that was the inspiration behind this theme.
