Thumbs up [Q] new challenge: rooting latest OTA release...

The official release by Toshiba of 3.2.1 closed the loopholes to allow fastboot, and by extension the ability to root, install clockworkmod, or other patching/flashing app...

This is a new challenge waiting to be taken by devs, to show Toshiba that open source means access to all the innards of apps, without any restriction, apart from an agreement to produce useful releases and improvements to a distro platform...
and their adoption is user oriented and not governed by profit... albeit the two usually coincide...

So who can find a new exploit?

I believe one of the reasons it is so difficult for coders to develop short cuts in running the Thrive
is the abysmal lack of Android resources and tools made available by Toshiba for devs...
unlike HTC, Asus and other manufacturers who have a dedicated sdk that goes along with the official Android one, and who are making the best sales,
Toshiba are intent to keep their coding secrets (particularly ones related to root) close to their chest...
they can keep their secrets and might end up keeping their machines (tin boxes) too...

No, there is no way to downgrade the device. Toshiba has not released any signed full ROM that we can use to downgrade with.
