Running a transformer prime with ics here. Have been waiting months to be able to hide the system bar, would be great if you could do it.
Cheers

Most things are covered. Currently implementing custom gestures (almost there, just a few loose ends) and revamping GUI to support smaller screens, cause with ICS it will be usable on phones too.

Current plan:
version1: Custom gestures
version2: +ICS (beta)

I hope to finish both versions during this week.

I run it on Galaxy Tab 7.7 GT-P6800, Android 3.2, works fine. Only the show bar command is not as responsive. Sometimes feedback is given before bar is shown, sometimes after, gives me little irritation. But that's minor. Overall great start. I was allways wondering why google went this nonsense idea wasting screen real estate for a bar when you can have multitouch gestures instead, as iOS already shows.

Ideally, gesture control might replace the bar completely, so that you don't need to switch it on and off frequently. Therefore, gestures for changing apps (cycle through apps), menu, and notification, are most demanding, even more than custom gestures.

Have you had a look at easystroke? That's the best gesture tool I know of, unfortunately no multitouch support yet.

New version 1.3.0
New in 1.3.0
-Implemented custom gestures (in Lite version it allows to create and test custom gesture, but won't execute assigned action. Only message with gesture name will be displayed).
-Reworked user interface.

With ICS i'm on the fence what to do next
Current status -
Works:
* Gestures - works
* Home - works
* Starting other apps - works

* Status bar hiding - see issues bellow
* Back, recent apps, menu - work only on ICS with ICS kernel

Issues:
* Back, recent apps, menu - work only on ICS with ICS kernel. So systems with old kernels (like CM9 on 10.1) will have problems till ICS kernel is available. I might find some other solution, but no guarantee. Simply put, old kernels are not fully compatible with ICS. Its not an issue for stock rooted ICS.

* Status bar - now this is annoying. I can hide it and it is stable, however in ICS home screen background is related to status bar, and if I kill status bar process, home screen background disappears. When I start bar process, background appears again. But there is one more thing. If you start hiding bar too often, background switches to default one.
No problems if live wallpaper is used.

I might or might not be able to solve it. Was working on ICS events protocol lately, so didn't dig too deep into issues.

Question1: Is it safe to release alfa version for XDA with these issues or should I go for closed testing?

Question2: Is there any use in such application if status bar (or should I say home background) issues are not solved?

For many of us ics tablet users the ability to hide the status bar would far outweigh the wallpaper problem you described.
