recovery is hit or miss.
try MULTI-TIME, like maybe 10 times or 20 times.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but I went to flash HO!NO!'s rom using this new CWM and when I searched for the .zip to flash on my sdcard, it showed a garbled folder name and clockworkmod, but when I put the .zip in the clockworkmod folder it couldn't find it. I found this rather odd, so I looked at my phone's /sdcard folder in adb and did an ls and it showed all sorts of file io problems and garbled folder names. When I mounted the phone on my computer in this CWM, everything looked fine, though. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

I ended up reflashing bytecode's CWM because it actually works for me with using the manual commands. I'm just really glad I didn't reformat my /system partition before I verified that I could flash the new rom...

This is exactly what I did

From untouched phone (had to replace my first nitro because I bricked it)

1. Root phone
2. Download Rom Manager from Android Market
3. Use Rom Manager to install CWM
4. Back Up Untouched Rom
5. Use Rom manager to install Kernalpan1c's rom
6. Enjoy

There are steps 7-9 in there, but I am not allowed to talk about them yet.

This is my first Android phone, does this mean we can just install ROM Manager and hit "Flash Clockwork Mod Recovery" and have it? Is it really that simple, like the one-touch Jailbreak on some iPhones?
Devices:
AT&T Galaxy S4
iPad Mini 16GB
HP Touchpad

Past devices:
Pantech Duo > iPhone 3G > LG Nitro HD > Galaxy Nexus GSM

So I turn my phone off, turn it on, when it gets to lockscreen do Zergrush, download ROM Manager, and hit "Install Clockwork Mod"?

I had USB debugging and Unknown sources enabled on the phone before running SuperOneClick. Also make sure you have the latest version.

Here is the link to developers site:

So to summarize:

1. Run SOC to root the Nitro HD
2. Install ROM Manager
3. Flash CWM through ROM Manager
