At last I have found the link to the French TG01 Forum mentioned in the previous post - it was from a tutorial on how to take the TG01 apart...

I hope that this may provide some useful clues regarding source for a French language ROM. Also the author is a member on XDA and may be able to help if you try a PM.... @Chdeul
