I would also prefer the CM-7.2-RC1-kernel. And indeed it is also from faux but it is based on kernel-version .57 instead .56.
HTC Hero ROM: Elelinux CM-7.2-final
Motorola Atrix ROM: Atrix-MROM-CM7
Nexus 4 ROM: SlimBean-latest Kernel: franco-latest

I saw the changelog and noticed:

What does it do? And how did you do it?

I think I know what it might do, and if it is that, then I've been looking at how to do this for quite some time. But I'd like some clarification first.

Thanks in advance.

Very simple apktool decompile framework-res.apk, you will find /res/values/arrays.xml and in ther are the values for autobrightness. Change or add ones accordingly, decompile mine and the original one to see the differences

Please, can you test it for us and give the Antutu results, so we can really know wich one is better in the same morrisoft v0.8 build. We are sure that the faux123 one will have a better battery llife, however, everyone is saying good things about the stock CM7.2RC1 kernel performance.

Or... Can you post the CWM.zip file of the CM7.2 RC1 stock kernel, so we can test it at home and give the results.

It will help a lot to know wich one have the best result.

Thanks in advance.

I'd also love to see what we can find out about the RC1 stock kernel. The days in between RC1 and 0.8 coming out, I noticed significant improvement in that kernel over faux. I was actually having a hard time even trying to kill the battery, it just seemed like it could keep going and going.
