Confirmed, both WLAN and 3G (O2 Germany). I think this happens only when you log in from German IPs... and unless I overlooked something, everyone affected in this thread has a Samsung Galaxy phone, including me with a Galaxy Note.

Samsung got infected by trojans or other bullsh*t maybe? Remember the scandal some years ago where Apple distributed virus-infected iPods?

@ site-ops: please close/x-ref threads and

both deal with the same problem as this thread.

No, the problem is not Samsung specific. I got the same problem with my HTC Desire (also with a German IP address). It's some ad that redirects your browser to the smartphonegirls booking page. I've installed AdFree on my rooted phone and haven't been redirected since.

In my opinion the biggest problem is the fact that wap billing is still so "easy" and hardly controllable. But that would be a case for some - in this case German - court.

I've already written to the BundesNetzAgentur about the issue - their answer was that it's not their jurisdiction.

I've spoken to my phone provider - not their responsibility.

Others have spoken to lawyers - civil litigation of any kind isn't worth it.

These scammers will continue screwing us over until someone with enough time and money to spare takes them to court just for kicks.

Getting redirected almost every time too. URL is

It's so annoying, workaround for ics phones is to enable "request desktop version " if you're not rooted and can't install adfree. That fixes the redirect. Please look into it.

I have been having these popups while surfing the net on my transformer prime. My milestone 2 has been rooted for quite a while and I had my hosts file filtered so I never had problems before. on the tf201 the ads can't harm me but it's really annoying. I unlocked my device now anyway and have and ad filter installed. I might be going out on a limp here but this could very well be a problem domestic to germany. A lot of cellphone fraud with weird fake sms and wap business going on over here. They got me on a contract I supposedly signed by reading an sms on my palm pre back in 2011. I had to pay for some crap subscription I never agreed to because of malicious ads on some site.

This needs to be taken care of before someone actually has to pay for some trashy porno site.
