Some questions

Hi all
I need some help, I have 2.2 system, and i want to flash my device, I read some post for example odin for dummies and there is everything explained nice, but I still have some questions, I use swype a lot and I read somewhere that 2.3 does not support 2.2 swype, is that true if it is,where can I find language support for 2.3,
Second what rom u suggest me I want some 2.3 rom, not beta!
There is a lot of them and I simply don't know what to choose...
Third can I save my currently os froyo in case that I make some mistake during procedure of flashing, or if I don't like rom?
Four Read also in thread odin for dummies I think, that I need connect phone to pc via kies to check drivers,where on kies I can check that?
In other thread I read no support for that, get samsung device I think?

All 2.3 ROMs are based on CM7 which is in Alpha stages so theyre all technically alpha.

Can somebody explain me what does wipe dalvik cache specifically do?

It's wipes files that are in the dalvik cache at the moment. Apps put those files there and the cache is necessary to run Android. Wiping the dalvik cache makes Android build a new one on bootup. It's not like you lose anything after wiping it, but initial boot time takes longer. Hope it helps you .

i se that peope can not fix it,so my hops ar gone,but maybee my phone have difrent solution,i am at luck becouse my phone is working,only have a lag and not so smood(galaxy 3 of course).i am curently on kyrillos 9.5 kernel g3mod 2.2.2.OC.error massages ar this:cant mount cache,true adb comand in comand prompt this folder does not exist dav/block/,
E:can't chown/mod/data/app(no such file or directory)
:E:Cant't mount/dev/block/mmcblkop0(file not exists) and some similar massages


is there any command in the adb shell to format internal sd card,to start from begining,i tried stock rom,not working,difrent rom,also not working,problem is in the internal memory,but how to fix it,i am wondering why my PC does not seen the phone memory(only see external,witch i remove),so basicly if my pc see the phone,i should right klick and pres format,symple??

ok i have new information:i flash stock rom I580xxjpu(withoutbootloader) ,and with adb reboot recovery i go in recovery mode,then i sucesufully wipe data/factory reset,and wipe cache also succesuffuly.Phone is on but stil having lag,so i tray again to flash som roms,i tray dutch mode 5.0 true ODin,and it flash it but imideitly som eror E:verification faild,then i tray again wipe data/factory reset wipe cache,and error massages ar back.I notice that in directory /dav/block there is no directory "block".Does not egsist,so i am unable du som commands like mount /dav/block/.. becouse there is nothing there.,is there may by a way tu create this directory manualy and put files in side?????and one more thing,i notice a blue screen just before go in the recovery,only for part of secund.



My again . I have som progres,i flas at stock rom,then enter the code in the the phone "hard reset",then i flash true Odin kyrillos rom 9.0 and on the first screen same error massages,then imidietly i flash from exsdcard kyrillos 9.5 and wipe data factory reset(and finaly without error messages,only one messages regarding on exSDcard).I am not pleased yet,lag is still there.Test game "ninja fruit" is not fast inaf,so i am wondering now,can this phone go any faster,.I see no efect of SetCpu,on 700mhz ,on1200mhz,and between game and everything alse is the same .CUrently runing at kyrillos 9.5 g3mode 2.2.2OC.nothing installed on phone,exept that game and set cpu,but stil lag.. on cyanogen web site i sow thread that sugest tu push 6 files true adb comand in to place on phone,but i am unable to do that,get message "read only file".

I fix it,2 things that i doo:THE NOT wipe data/factory reset when flasin true ODIN(first ROM),after flas is ower and you are still in recovery imidetly flash new version ex.:curent kyrillos 9.0-kyrillos 9.5,and then wipe data/factory reset.and that is it,i the not know is the phone code "hard reset" help or iven going back to stock rom,but this is the way that i solve my problem.I am now on kyrillos v10 final-kernelOC 1260mhz.and phone is so fast,i am so hapy .On banchmark test i score 200 points more then the lest time.and this time i flas everithing without errors,able to wipe everything,cache,dalvik cache,system reset,only 1 problem, eror on my exsd card,i will do format.
STill having problem on gaming,the game fruit ninja symply is not compatible with galaxy 3,i tray this game on others galaxy3 same thing,my phone is owerclocked,much faster,but stil sam laging problem.any one alse tray this game,is here a lag,may by change kernel???
