Here is what i did...
1. Flashed .62 ftf using flashtool. No OTA as my bootloader is unlocked.
2. Flashed DoomLord kernel V11.
3. Copied TheJokaWildROMV2.zip to memory card.
4. Flashed via recovery.
5. Enabled USB Debugging and connected the phone.
6. Then i used DooMLord easy root tool kit v4
7. My phone was rooted. I then used Titanium Backup to confirm the same.

Hope this helps.

I myself had a hard time rooting the Xplay. I ended up doing it with Rootxperia while in cwm.

Do you have the doomkernel instaled?
Doomkernel have cwm... you don't need root if you have instaled doomkernel cuz doomekernel have his own cwm, just reboot and press back buton in splash screen, when the led blinks in blue..

After flashing the kernel, when the phone reboots, doom kernel splash comes on screen, that time check for the LED notification to turn blue.....then press the back button again and again, u will enter the cfw.....

P.S, auto brightness no longer works, not sure if you knew as this may be why people are saying about heat and battery?

auto brightness was turned off, since the function it was always off, you can control the brightness on the panel quickly.
on heating of the battery, I do not feel it, more than any event I have done a tutorial on how to prevent it
back a page ago.
