I have the exact same problem! If I pinch the top, the camera begins to work again momentarily, then when I let it, the problem persists. I brought it to an ASUS Repair Center in South Korea, and they simply tried taking the camera out and putting it back it. After that, the camera was working fine again. HOWEVER, after a couple of days, the problem came back.... Do anyone know of a solution to this problem?

I'm assuming that this problem is hardware. Someone mentioned that the camera comes off quite easily? Perhaps due to that, the connection to the board is not as firm because it is a little loose?
