[Q] No SIM detected on Play in Poland

Hi everyone. I have a US T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4G, and I'm in Poland trying to get a SIM card. I bought one for the carrier Play.

My phone is unlocked, but when I put the Play SIM in, it doesn't detect it and asks for a PIN. I enter the PIN that was in the SIM card packet, but it tells me it's incorrect. I tried another Play SIM card from a friend, and that didn't work either. I also tried a polish T-Mobile SIM, and I had no problems detecting a network.

I can't get the $15 back for the SIM card, and it seems like the Play network should be compatible. They sell a Sensation as well. The only difference I noticed is that the Play Sensation has the additional 2100 frequency that the US T-Mobile version doesn't have (I think).

Any way I can salvage my $15, or should I get a SIM from another carrier?
