2. install ROM
3. factory reset
4. Wipe cache partition
5. Advanced options-> wipe dalvik cache

thetwistedx: I don't know **** about kernels, to be honest, I have nAa now which is fine for me, so I can't say for sure that this is a kernel problem, but still, someone else would have it, and now one has so far.

But it also happened when i was in stock kernel so...
I will wait for the miui final version of ICS or Ginger (I don't know yet what to use) and will see if this problem also happens with that rom.

It happened only when you play games? Well u must be playing a RAM eater games or 3d games which quite heavy especially if u don't use ram swap..it will kill your messaging and other processes to gain more RAM for sure..

Btw..you said it happened after you unlocked the bootloader..did u still on stock kernel or already on alfs?

Try to flash addon modules before full wiping..And you don't need to wipe dalvik cache and cache partition if you full wipe since it was done in full wipe already..

Added ax8netfilter plus hw_config.sh modification to load full netfilter modules

I just have a suggestion... why u no load it on the init in the ramdisk.tar? just a suggestion...

Like suggested above DELETE Gallery3D.apk and install QuickPic in its place ... works absolutely fabulous for me and is the RECOMMENDED approach. We actually wanted to ship the ROM with QuickPic, but for some reasons QuickPic refused to play nice.

This GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk has only one type widjet without search options like, all, web, apps, contacts, etc. and Not supported by themes

When this problem started to happen, it happened even when I was not playing games.
Since I unlocked the bootloader it just happened when I was playing games.
And the games weren't so heavy (Angry Birds; Skater Boy...).
I am using Alfs kernel v08a.

Try swap partition and see if it still happen..or use v6 supercharger then bulletproof mms.apk

I could use swap but I am affraid of damaging my SD Card.
One month ago I tried to install v6 supercharger but the best I did was briking my X8 so...
But as I said I will wait for the miui version of ICS or Ginger and then I will see where is the problem.
