Galaxy S I9003 Q&A

and so, I'm back here, with a problem, because I lent my elder brother my i9003 after using my i4 for quite some time and for some bit of ignorant stupidity (forgive me), he got my phone wet. Submerged for a few minutes, in fact.

Long story short, his friends dragged him to a pool to pose for a picture. Forgot about the phone, and so walah, the LCD got water in it, and the home button died after a day.

Now, the camera is not working, with a pop up appearing with the message "Camera failed". I am aware of a present solution of reflashing the whole phone again, however, even though it is my phone, my brother is using it (heck yes for respect -.-, stupid bro). As much as a stupid question, how do I access recovery mode and download mode without a PC, perhaps and without the home button? Luckily, I have installed 14-status toggle, so I can access it, but how then can I access it once I have reflashed a new ROM?

Through terminal emulator, or adb(needs pc sadly). Well you may not even be able to root your phone to use terminal emulator... im not sure if rebooting in the download through terminal emulator requires su rights.

I think you'd want to revert to a stock ROM ( that is, without any themed element/ icon at all). then reflash theme you want. if problem persists post again

it can also be that the theme you are using has a different base ROM (the theme was built for a diff firmware) than yours, which is rare.

Critical problem!!

I am in this critical situation. The phone was just in my pocket! Suddenly it did not recognize my SIM card! It does not recognize any card! I really need my phone!!!
Please help!
