my main concern is Google music, I'm getting ready to start uploading my music to it soon, as if now tho, it is the one music player that very rarely skips, usually only skips when I do something like installing an app, or when going to manage apps for the first time when it isn't cached in memory and it had to load all my apps/running services, those normally ALWAYS cause serious stutters in my music, I use that as a base to see how well my music will play doing other things, if it can handle opening manage apps with small amount of stutter than it usually takes A LOT for something else to make it jump

I think that app may show it offline due to it being idle,
it might not be a reliable way to tell if second core it's actually on but just waiting for something to do, I know I was the one who mentioned the app, but I had only recently found it,

It was my permissions werent set correct now its showin online the whole time

How did you check the permissions? App permissions?

All you have to do in change both online files read only rrr & put a 1 in each file. Done.

Sorry I am lost. I know how to set permission on apps. Checked that and it is good. Is this with the app. I see there is a checkbox to always use second core but it does not allow me to choose anything.

In the sys/blah/cpu0 (or1)/online set perms to r--r--r-- then make sure it's got a 1 inside. Done

Are you using root exlorer or script manager? I feel like a idiot for not knowing this.

Travis please try the system monitor app its free and it will shoe that the second core is indeed on...I find this to be a reliable real time monitoring app

So I found the cpu 0 and1and the online folder. I made permission to rw-r-r and went to online and changes the 0cpu to 1the on cpu 1. Cpu 1 was already at 1only thing is when re boot I still see rw-r-r instead of seeing rw-r-r-1 as you said? Thanks for all your help sorry for the noob moment!

read a couple peoples posts and one as far as i can tell if you use smanager it stays on all the time. i don't know what app your using but my phone has been snappy as hell, i also check with quadrant and it shows 2 cores every time i look at it and its always at 1ghz.

now for music skipping my set up:
rooted stock 2.3.5 .413 build
smanager scripts:
2nd core
v6 noop
v6 super charger update 8 settings 9 and 12.

blade buddy advance settings:
check debug.sf.hw,
check media.stagefright.enable-player
check media.stagefright.enable-meta
check media.stagefright.enable-scan

and with those setting on motorola stock media player i have not had a skip in the 2hrs that i have player my music for. 1hr yesterday, 1hr today goting to work and back (half hr trip).

even before 2nd core and blade buddy my phone rarely skipped using 2.3.5 builds. some days its less skipping but on the days that was more it was 10 songs max out of a playlist of 105 (one skip for 10 random songs) usally it would skip 3 times on average of the 105 (same one skip for song).

on 2.2.2 and 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 it would skip constantly. this is why i don't use anything under 2.3.5 and also my phone rarely random reboots on 2.3.5 builds. same as with earlier (2.2.2, 2.3.3 and 2.3.4) it would random reboot a least a couple times a week if i didn't turn it off myself when i unplug it from the charger thanks to the battery bug in 2.3.4 where it eats your battery if you unplug but don't reboot your phone.
