As a suggestion; the kernel has to be improved.

This has been happening on all MIUI versions for me and I have wiped, double wiped and triple wiped in every possible place.

If I do a quick test before a meeting it will work, then when I actually need it, the in-call buttons don't work.... :s

Wiping will not help. This is an issue that all of the MIUI Roms seem to share. It's related to the proximity sensor when you put the phone to your ear.
It toggles so the first time the proximity sensor turns the screen off the buttons become disabled. When toggled again by lifting the streak back to your ear and down again the buttons work again.

I've noticed that this problem is a lot less frequent in the most recent release of this ROM. I've mostly got around it by putting my hand over the proximity sensor, then the buttons become active again.

One option to try is to go to:

(1) Open Settings.
(2) Click on the Programs Button.
(3) Select the 'Call' option from the list.
(4) Select 'Answer Features'
(5) Set 'Enable Proximity Sensor' to off.

The only issue with this is that you could easily touch the screen with your ear and end the call or dial etc. As you probably are aware that's the whole point of the proximity sensor, so it's not ideal.

Having used the latest release in the last day or so I can say with all honesty that this by far the fastest,best looking, most flexible and most stable ROM I've ever used on the streak.

Not a single crash,freeze or wifi issue over the last 24 hours.

The prop.build modifications help a lot with battery life.

I know your 'standing on the shoulders of giants' but thanks for all the hard work on this one, just wanted to say how much I appreciate it!

Chris.

I found this here on the forum and it's working great.

I use this:

# Disable blackscreen issue after a call
ro.lge.proximity.delay=25
mot.proximity.delay=25

On build.prop
And it works!

Can someone let me know if this ROM supports landscape orientation? I really struggle to use my Streak on Portrait mode. If MIUI can do landscape I'd give it a try. Also, what is the state of the button led's - are they always on still or has that changed now?

Thanks in advance.

i have now installed your 2.3.23 without any issues, but i can confirm that whatever i choose in app drawer options, it makes no difference.

If i choose the left gesture, and auto start, then press enable, and then go back into MIUI Settings, the options are not remembered.
