I didn't see any changelog to the latest 7.1 test6 build,
can someone tell me what the changes are compared to 7.1 test3 ?

You can find it in changelog.txt, same link as test builds folder: http://blackice.omca.co.uk/download/.../TestVersions/

So far there is the first post on this thread for the official release, but then sometimes it gets to the goo.manager first, and sometimes the Facebook page is updated beforehand.

Not to mention the test versions - TestVersions url seems now as the most updated link, but there is also a folder in which currently only shows up to 6.2 test4. The fb page is also posting some test versions sometimes, but not always.

Is there some definite location for the latest version always? The place where the files originally get uploaded to?

Keep having car mode start on me. From a full.whip and clean install when I changed to 190dpi on 7.1 and now on latest test 4

Mate i reckon just stick with post 1. If in doubt, follow the logical numbering system. Bigger number newer rom

This is a funny bug I remember someone having in a GB rom once. I think its a hardware issue - your phone thinks its being plugged in to a dock all the time. Have a search to see if you can find where it was talked about. You could also try cleaning the USB port?

Gtalk does not work for me.
Does anyone else have that problem and is there a way to resolve it.
I use whatsapp and other chat applications fine.

I had this problem, it is due to the phone thinking it is plugged in in the car, as the previous poster has said. Plugging the standard charger in for a while sorted the problem for me.

I think it's just a case of one guy doing a lot of work and there are small time lags between him uploading a new ROM to different locations.
Sometimes, people have started complaining that the new ROM is only 'xxx bytes' (because they tried to grab it while he was still uploading!).

He has to put it on a Goo server for OTA style updates, plus a normal web host for everybody else to manually download, then update the links on the OP. It doesn't sound like much work but it's a pain in the ass when you've got real life in the background, and people PMing you asking for info etc.

The situation's improving - slowly, but meanwhile, we just need a little patience and understanding and polite suggestions about how it might be improved :)

I think it's the charging cable...

On SOME cables their are additional pins hooked up that make the device think it's a dock.
