I guess that would require a different kernel. By what I know, this ROM comes with a faux kernel and I'm not sure any of fauxs CM9 kernels support UMS.. the only kernel that I know that supports UMS is the custom trinity kernel by morphic that's used in Eagles blood... adding UMS to this would take a bit of blood sweat and tears if I'm not wrong..

Great ROM browser issue always annoyed the hell out of me.
Is there any way to force the message option in the lock screen to open something other than stock? I never use it -_-

Default GPS

This is slightly off-topic / not specific to this ROM -- but has anyone else had problems with GPS since switching to the ICS builds? My GPS used to work great with the various GB builds... But as soon as I switched to ICS, it crapped out. And it has been true with multiple ROMS and kernels. It always takes 10-20 min. to get GPS fix (if at all). The other weird thing is that GPS Status will show that it is locked on to 8, 9, sometimes 10 satellites, and yet it will still take FOREVER to lock in and show my position. I've tried everything I can think of with the gps.conf, nothing seems to help. Anyone else having this problem?

Aside from that lingering issue, that again is not specific to Owain's ROM -- my phone ROCKS with this current setup. Owain + Harsh == AWESOME.

I step out of the hellfire team...

I found out that the team is just some testers (thibor still love the talks and the cat stuff hope we can go on with that on gtalk) a graphical designer (love your works it looks damn great) and a "dev"

I came i this team because i thought it was a developers team
I found out that the only two people in the team that actually "make code" for this devices were harsh and me

Hell his rom is great but it is just cm sources with cm cherry picks and a load of cooked layouts in it

No offence hell but that is just cooking not deving
typing "repo sync" then go to the gerrit and copy paste the provided cherry pick line to the terminal and cook the rest in
I do not like that we work using the source

I do not want to be in such a team i am sorry

Owain

Apologies off rip if I've managed to keep this going, but I had to get my piece in.
I've been watching all the camps, running ALL of the roms to satisfy my flashing fetish. From stock to weapon X to Bionix to Miui. (& CM7 of course) Now the ICS/CM9 builds.

All of them are decent in there own respective cults. Yet after using them all, and I do mean ALL. I just wasn't satisfied, something smooth was missing. Swear on my Blood, yours' Owain was the last one I was going to roll with before I jump ship back to Miui,...........This was last night before I read the most recent postings.

This is by far the most fluid, functional CM9 build on G2x I have used to date. I am finally satisfied and no longer thirsty! I don't know what you did or how you did it, but I work with "devs" and real coders always manage to find an answer to put majik into there wares.
You my friend have accomplished this without all of the graphics, without all of the cult followings, without all of the crap based off of name recognition. You dropped a working Rom that's bacon grease fluid and pound cake buttery...Keep up the good work and know you have a new fan.
If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0

Rafase, if you want to get file transfer working on a Mac, download this.

http://www.android.com/filetransfer/

This basically recognizes the MTP protocol and allows you transfer files just like in Mass Storage mode

I've had that problem consistently on these ICS roms, used a fix for it and it rocked while I drove down to Maryland last weekend.

Thanks for the info -- did you also modify your gps.conf just as described in the other thread that is linked in there?

I can confirm this happens on Hellfire Sandwich too, so it might be an issue with CM9 source.
