Alright.. I'll release today or tomorrow a stripped version..

I'll also post SFM's 32A kernel source code but it isn't booting on 32B so I will need some help...

Or we can look into the Aroma installer being set up by Benjamin Gwynn over in the WFS and a few other Rom forums being that its being developed as a universal installer.
AROMA works great, I've already done the image resizing and everything, we just don't have a recovery that supports touch input. Me and xillius200 have been looking into it without much success :/

Tell me if you want me to add that in the OP, or if you want to make your own thread.

@Rushness thanks for the hard work and getting this started.
@e334 thanks for stepping up to rerelease this and getting the ball rolling again.

@infinimint thanks for looking into aroma installer. I just want to add that I ran aroma on my hreoc. It doesent need touch enabled recovery; its all done via trackball. So lets try it again. I'm
going to try to run it latter on my g1 to see how it behaves (even though there is no supported rom ...yet)

Keep up the good work everybody. Great stuff happening on the g1.

I can confirm that Aroma installer runs great (better than on my heroc) on the g1 but there is no rom support yet.

I know that you can use the trackball and volume buttons, it just takes FOREVER... Hence why we want to bring a touch-enabled recovery to the G1.

It works great and after being resized it even looks great, but without the touchscreen it takes too long to get little things done.

Stay tuned.

I don't think the recovery needs to be touch enabled (as long as the kernel supports touch) because I could use aroma installer on a regular non-touch CWM recovery when I tried aroma with my HD2.

Did you ever get around to releasing? I have an X2 now as my main phone but I still like experimenting with my 32B

Yes he did release it's over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1584085, but there has (at least for me) been some serious issues trying to install this. e334 said he was not going to be giving any support on this if I'm not mistaken. He actually did though he fixed the updater script that was causing issues on flashing. Now it flashes but (again, at least for me) it simply will not boot, and i have tried every different way to flash this, but it's a no go.
