Thanks..
You already had your sensation for 2 years?

1stly,

A huge, huge thanks to Mike for the efforts here. This is my first custom Rom and I couldn't have chosen one with better support for its users.

Top work, Mike. Thank you.

2ndly,

I'm blown away by how good this ROM is. It's nothing short of beautiful to use at times and really shows off the XE very well. Very stable, very easy to flash etc, and has good secondary development (i particularly like the leedroid tweaks)

I'd like a little more info on exactly what the different kernels do, in a more layman's language, but that's my issue to learn tbh. I will note that my first flash, I used Sebs and found battery life poor and the phone got quite hot. I took the opportunity at the latest download (6.6) to go to stock kernel and both my battery usage and temperatures have dropped dramatically. I used my phone for 3.5 hrs surfing and 15hrs standby today on one charge. Not bad really.

If I could make an observation; in the OP, the flashing instructions are a little counter intuitive, you need to lay out the steps a little clearer (esp the Firmware requirement) it's not obv to a noob (imho anyway and the repetitive question on same is showing this to be an issue for Noobs).

A simple format like such:

Requirements for installing this Rom for the first time:

A) Download Superwipe to SD card root
B) Download Correct* Firmware to SD Card Root
C) Download Correct* Rom to SD card root
D) Download Correct* Radio file to SD Card root
E) Download 4ext from market (ensure correct setup*
F) Use 4ext to create a (nandroid) Backup
G) Ensure all contacts etc are backed up to google and Ensure all data you can't afford to lose is copied elsewhere
H) use 4ext to ensure M5 checksums are correct
I) Proceed carefully and at own risk
J) Use 4ext to flash superwipe
K) Use 4ext to flash firmware
L) Use 4ext to flash Rom
M) use 4ext to flash radio
N) Reboot.
O) check installation.
P) Reflash if not working or revert backup.

*Please see specific file download entries for requirements prior to downloading (root privilege requirements, CID requirement etc)

*************+******************

Obv, the above is open to its own variables etc, but it's just an idea to help clarify the process for us Noobs as they do get a little lost in the length of the OP

Anyway, a great, service you provide, thankyou.

A very nice posting from my ARHD XE

Well in post #2 there is a link to this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1472298 by joaquinf, which describes all in full detail. I think they don't come more noob-friendly .
Some things I made:
CirclesMod All-in-One Mod-Pack for One
APM for One X
- APM for One V - EQS for One X - Battery% Mods for One X - CirclesMod for One X
Themes for 4ext Recovery Touch - ARHD-Bootanimation for One X, GNexus, Sensation, DHD
NO support questions via PM, I will NOT answer them. PM is personal, support is for all to know.

@ Jotha,

Well, of course you are correct, so I suppose the reply is that NO instructions should be given by mike, but a link to the help thread

Anyway, twas only an observation. In actual fact I learnt how to flash a Rom by reading how people screwed up, rather than instructions. Panic-posts really are most informative lol.
