[Q] (Omnia 7) Internet Explorer crashes

Since wednesday IE crashes on my unlocked T-Mobile (Germany) Omnia 7 with MANGO

Starting IE or clicking links from Bing, Facebook (built in and App) and many more does not work. (using Surf Cube since then)
- OS: 7.10.8107.79
- Firmware: 2424.11.9.4

I did many App-updates on this day.
Unfortunately I did not remember which Apps and I upgradet my laptop to Windows 8 X64 and forgot to backup my backup.
My last WP7 Backup/Sync on external HDD was three months ago.

When I restore my Phone to this point, will all my Text Messages/SMS, Game Saves Calls and so on be deleted?

Any other Ideas to get my IE working?


Another question:
I want the Apps from LG, NOKIA, HTC and so on…
When in use some custom ROM’s/upgrade to them, will my Messages/SMS, Game Saves and so on be taken over?

Installing Custom Roms will wipe your entire phone clean it will not be possible to input the data from your stock to the custom Rom regrettfully...for now...I have the mi7ROM 1.3 installed on my Omnia 7 and I have no problems you can get all the apps you need by just following the thread.

My IE works fine with mi7ROMs

Hi, try to disable open all links in new tab in settings. I got this problem where my tabs in IE do not work anymore and when IE is parameterized to open links in new tabs then it won't open at all.

Tell me if it worked.

Hello,

I have the same problem with my Omnia 7. Internet Explorer crashes right after i tap the IE tab. I disabled open all links in new tab from setting, cleared my history, reset the phone....still not working. Other browsers are not working as well. I have the same problem with my yahoo mail account. I can see the inbox but when i tap a certain message it crashes the same way as IE. The facebook app on the other hand works fine, so there are no connection problems. What can I do? Thanks.
