I had no problem with 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2.

Same as above poster. I'm not experiencing any of those problems. Running Slim 3.2 with Semaphore 9.8sbm. No high Android OS battery drain and no overheating.
I don't think so. I've used one with fast charge and its not really any different.

I search it a little bit. This is what I found so far:
1) USB 2.0 max current: 0.5A
2) Max current in Android ICS kernel configuration (and Semaphore also) 0.5A
3) Max current in Samsung GB kernel and Samsung ICS kernel for SGSII: 96mA
I don't know what are the consequences of these patch in terms of battery life or the danger of the internal regulator. If for example you plug your phone to USB 3.0 port the max current is 0.9A.
Because, I'm not sure and because of the above facts I will not implement this feature.
