I'm on EB ICS. Also looking for improved ICS ROM. Genesis sounds great so far. I'm curious to know if there is an USB Mass Storage option with this build. Or is there another way to manage the files on the CPU?

This has been an on going issue for me with the ICS ROMS.

The MTP option on stock ICS roms is basically the old school USB mass storage from the gingerbread days.

Thanks for the reply.

But, for some reason I am not able to use it in that capacity. Is it the phone or maybe the computer (Windows XP)?

did you go into the storage options and make sure that option is clicked?
Some roms (not sure about this one) doesn't have it clicked by default.

LG USB Driver

Scroll down and you'll see the link. It's under the "software" section. once you install the driver, restart your computer, plug in ur phone and wait until you see the notifications on the bottom right where the detachable devices are.

CM9 has PTP (Camera) clicked by default, i've set Genesis to have MTP (Media Device) clicked by default, so both SD cards can be accessed

For some reason any music I have in my internal SD card will not play from the music player. If I got to astro and select the file I can play it but it will not play from the music player. " sorry the requested file cannot be played"

I only have access to the external sd using MTP. I reinstalled LG drivers per above suggestion, too.

Yea used this: G2X Cleanup Batch.

I restored my EB AOSP backup that I KNOW was working fully and that is only showing the external sd card too. Not sure if using the above tool messed up something. I can access it through Root Explorer though. Strange.
