Default Not Charging

Wow, it's very depressing to see that so many who ordered the lapdock from 1saleaday are having the same issues. I also ordered it from the site and am having functionality issues. Mine worked for five minutes or so, then I stepped away for a few minutes. When I returned I noticed that the screen was black and that it was no longer charging. Ever since, in addition to not working, it will not charge and the charging light does not come on when plugged in. Anyone else having the same problem?

The connection seems to be the problem with mine too. When I held down on the phone, I was able to keep it on. I'm going to open it up and see what I can do. Thanks for the help.

I must be one of the lucky ones ;) I have an extended battery but have been happy with the standard battery life since I keep it docked overnight and in the car dock to/from work. I wouldn't be suprised to find out some batch of units were failing due to connector problems and they found their way to wootoff, 1saleaday, etc.

I am still looking for any info on webtop2sd for the bionic. I am a newbie to
webtop2sd so maybe I am missing something. 2.0.1 installed fine and I granted root, the partitioning, formatting all went fine. I just don't see any difference using the webtop, do I need to boot into webtop2sd partition? I also realize this simply may not work at all with .902 but I thought it would have presented a problem during the installation? Any help is appreciated.

Im back on Eclipse 2.2 today and webtop works fine. Sooo I did all that wiping my phone and going back to stock for nothing since the issue was just with the lapdock, but oh well now I've learned how to use pathsaver to get back to stock 902 if I ever need to again.

Webtop is still working fine with the adjustment I made last night. Bummed that the lapdock is pretty slow though, I thought it would be as fast as my phone just with a bigger display. But its pretty laggy doing just about anything. Is the webtop2sd I keep hearing about supposed to improve this at all? Oh well its still a pretty cool concept and im sure ill get some use out of it.

Thanks for the update BMB. I am running stock 5.9.902 rooted and webtop is working fine, though it is a bit laggy. Still I am not complaining for $85. It will be plenty useful for conferences, travel and starbucks surfing.

Webtop2sd is supposed to move the webtop app to a partition on the SD card and expand memory to sd partition size. Since stock webtop is limited to 900M you can't do much. I think people have had success running webtop2sd on Eclipse, but not sure if it works on the .902 release. Let me know if you have success, it installed fine but I don't seem to have any more memory running webtop after installation.

Safe strap doesn't allow webtop to work. You need to install cwm and boot strap instead. I had the same problem. But it does work

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, are you saying webtop w/ webtop2sd works with cwm? I have webtop working fine on 5.9.902 but don't see any changes after installing webtop2sd? Do I need a boot manager - cwm - to get booted into the webtop2sd partition? Sorry for the newb questions....

Default Update

So I took the lapdock apart and inserted the micro sd and hdmi in as far as I could, and same thing is happening.....brief connection then back to screensaver. I had high hopes but those were smashed so don't know what to do now.

Mine works great, other than the horrible lag and memory error. LOL I did notice that mine has a sticker on the top right that says the red charging light only operates when the handset is plugged in, if that helps you any. It may be charging, but you don't know it if you don't have the phone mounted.
