So i can give the xperia to my one year dauther who loves to play with. It's allready old, the glass is broken, volume buttons does not work, and battery is down.
It's a cool end of life for him !
All informations to build boot.img from scratch are in the first post of this thread. I hope that someone else will continue. All sources are public.
Anyway, it's now usable as a phone (if not at end of life like mine).

Your one year old daughter likes Android. The future still has hope!!!

Haha.

anyone tried the latest boot.img? for me it works well no problems at all...

@zargloub if your still here what you ment with not working well?
btw your work on this kernel was fundamental important! thanks for all you've done for this device

the only things are that battery meter goes to fast down for me and stays at least 7 hours at around 14% and that zargloub forgot to change back keys from his setting to build this kernel...

i'm going to try building it with normal key settings...

19Mhz is great

i have around 4 hours more battery life

is it normal to get errors from drivers/net/wireless while building the kernel?:

make[4]: *** No rule, to build the target ğdrivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl12xx_platform_data.oĞ,
needed from ğdrivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/built-in.oĞ. End.

i installed a virtual machine with ubuntu and FriendlyARM Toolschain...

Hi,
What indicates "arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc -v" ?
Is this ok for the gc30016e without my volume key patch ?
http://www.file-upload.net/download-.../boot.img.html
For "not working well", i had suddenly shut down when unpluged, battery informations unusable, etc ...
I was wondering if it was battery almost dead or a problem with last commits.
So it was just my battery. Cool.
Btw, if someone want to thanks in spending 9€ to buy me a battery, you can send me private message and i will give you a postal adress ... but i dont want to open a paypal account, collect money and buy the battery. No time to spend on that.

zargloub thanks for your work

I could send my battery which is a bit used but what are the chances of you getting the other things to work? Such as GPS, Front Facing Camera and Auto Focus etc?

Thanks for your proposal, Elibl allready proposed to buy me one (it cost no really much more than shipping costs).
To be honest, while i have a new perfectly working phone, there is not so much chances i work a lot for the x1 anymore. Maybe one day when i'll have less work.
libgps.so is part of Android compilation, and i work only on kernel.
For the front camera and autofocus i think it's part of kernel, but there is a little bit work to understand how it works ...

here's my self-compiled boot.img also no serious changes...

http://www.file-upload.net/download-.../boot.img.html

i only made right silver key to android search-key

i'll have a look at the warnings i had during compilation but i'm very unexperienced and don't think i can change something seriously in the kernel
