Default [Q] Best way ROM/Kernel for battery life?

I'm absolutely disgusted with this phone's battery life. No matter what ROM or kernel I try, I seem to have very poor outcomes. Anyone have a suggestion for me?

Thanks in advance.

The screen is a hog no matter what ROM/Kernel combo... So if you are a heavy user... You don't have a chance. I think Energy ROM / Stock kernel is best, but it's definitely nothing special for battery life if you use your phone often.

I have been using my phone slightly more than I normally would since its brand new, and I have been wanting to tinker with it. After starting to use it at around 7:00 AM, and now being almost 4:30, the battery is at about 55%, which is probably at about what my old phone would be at by this time. I really don't think its all that bad, I could easily go until I go to bed without having to charge it up at all, and still have some left over for tomorrow.
