Few in stores, first owners (not me yet) are testing it.

One chain got a stock, but spread among the stores doesn't make many. They should be out of stock by to-morrow if not already so I guess more to come soon un a next delivery. At least the commercial version is really out.

According to first feedback from users:

wifi is fine, on par with any other wifi device even far from the router.
GPS fine. Video HD fluid. No serious issue from what was expected so far.

Good to hear! Have we heard of release anywhere outside of France yet?

Someone in Western Canada had posted one yesterday for sale online. When I emailed inquiring, he said he received his pre-order from The Futureshop. It is showing April 25th delivery online at the Futureshop website. I cannot confirm he legitimately received it, but given the recent French launch, I am hopeful.

Few in Luxembourg too at the same time (that is now a couple of days ago) in store chain Saturn. As this is a german chain I can't imagine some germans didn't get it, but I have not heard of it.
Surprisingly other stores in France can't get a precise info on when they'll get it. Dates vary but it's expected next week or the other.
This must have been some limited pre-launch.

This info has been removed from the Acer online shop. I chatted with an agent and was told the release has been delayed. Unfortunately, I closed the window before copying exactly what he said, needless to say I'm disappointed. Ugh! BTW: I specifically asked for the US release info.

Actually, apart from this batch which was sold (200 units, it has been said) as if it was coming from nowhere, info we get for more are about as erratic as yours. One date, canceled, another.
Was it some IRL testing? Like, if there are some big issues you only get 200 complaints?
