Right click, open with Java. If that option does not appear, its possible Java was somehow not installed. Install Java.

Not sure if i can be helped lol. but i tried all this being a totall noob at soldering. when i took off X0m5, i also took off x0m2. So i connected x0m2 pads together and continued. THEN i also took off X0m0 lol. So i decided to solder all the pads back together (with out the resistors because they blew away with a single breath) Anyways... when i plug in usb and use the resurrector it shows the S5PC110 and WILL let me go to download mode. Also after that i can go to Heindall one click and flash it. It will even show a blue progress bar on the phone. After flashing nothing happens. Ive also tried using the flash bootloader check box checked and it has the same result. Not sure if there is options for me? Thanks

so basically xom2, x0m5, and x0m0 resistors are gone and pads are now reconnected with solder* with no wire mod at the moment.

Also dual booting with ubuntu 32 bit, not sure if that really matters. i thought about using the 64bit but didnt think it would make a difference. All the programs seemed to work with ubuntu 32.

right click on the .jar file and go to properties. then click on the permissions tab, then check the box next to Allow executing file as program. Then you can right click and open with java. as long as you have java installed.

Hey Adam, i have applied the UnbrickableMod to a Captivate with success. The resurrector will recognize the phone and bring it to download mode. But when i flash the heimdall package it will flash just fine. After that i flash the package with Bootloaders and it will also run just fine. The problem is that after the flash the phone will not boot or anything. It will stay off and the resurrector will recognize it again but the phone will not boot. Does that means theres a hardware issue? Because if it is, i guess i will have to trash it. Well ill keep the lcd screen though lol...

Edit: Sorry, it looks like for some reason there was something wrong witht he way i putted back the phone because i have taken it apart again. And didnt install the speaker and or the mic(just the screen and touch buttons and the phone booted up just fine. So i guess i need to go check what is wrong between those parts.

Default Bricked or Unbricked?

I have here one captivate and it goes like this

- bricked it by doing factry dta reset after "encry. unsucc.." issue
(flash kernel possible! , firmware DNF successfully)
- unbrickablemod applied...firmware flashed successfully!
- device bootloops an ATT screen
- 3button recovery gives "media files copy failed" "cant access sdcard, devblock", "no such files or directory" also Rfs format failed on devblock etc.
- factory data reset gives error;

E: Cant mount dev/block/mmcbl0p1

- firmware flashed again successfully!

- Power on to ATT screen , then 3G video, then goes to black screen after "S" loading screen (capacative buttons lighting up in this state)

Is my SDcard cooked, thanks to "Encryption Unsuccessful" issue?

Read the thread and follow the directions otherwise don't post. You are totally off topic. You couldn't be further away from the problems fixed in this thread.
