Fully agree with this statement ; it has to be something to the OTA can fix as just about every person I have spoke to with a OneX has noticed this at one time or another.

Global... The 1.26 is the same everywhere its the last two bits that change.

I think its software too but the nvidia service does not fix the issue for me i can confirm.

I too can confirm that running LCD tester does not show any signs of flickering... All the colors/greys are flicker free.

Edit: is it just me or does the lcd tester shows signs of screen/color banding ? i also notice this in Sense itself sometimes.

I do mean real color banding like you can see every transition in a gradient.

I bought a HTC Once X and experienced some flickering on grays, for example when clicking on the homebutton twice, where you can see the gray empty screens. There is also a problem when watching youtube on fullscreen - there is some screen glitchng but as soon as i play video with the player controlls the problem disappeared. So i thought it was hardware error, and i returned the phone and got a new one. The same problems appear again on the the second phone. I hope this is a software/driver issue. The screen flickering also appears when you change window in the browser - the animation between two browserwindows. I have uploaded, several examples on youtube, so click on all to see the big picture.

Yes mate the flickering is the same issue most (if not all) of us are having... I have had it on both my phones now too, although my first phone did have a few more bugs too and thankfully this one only has a couple.

As most people have said we believe it to be software and we all think/hope that the OTA will resolve the problem when it arrives.

i think there are 2 types of 'flickering' being talked about here, 1 is the like static wave at the bottom of the screen and 2 is what i have where the backlight seems to flash during auto brightness!

Yeah your right... The wave one is the major problem I believe that not everyone is having (I've not had this yet). The backlight one is the one that most people are having, if not everyone.

Mine is flickering when set to lowest brightness setting. When I take it just a bit off minimum it tends to not flicker.
