To change the 3G radio you would better to change you board,as I know that the hardware is the problem to provide you into the 800/1900/2100 baseband.

What can we do to use 3g net work 2100 baseband on flipside ?
EDGE is too slow ...

I was just curious if anyone had made any progress as of yet? Not going to lie, you have all reached a bit over my head on most of the extraction process and such.

Its actually called pudding for the atrix 4g, but no it wont work for the flipside. Different processors, memory, kernels. I only know this because that's the phone I have and have unlocked the bootloader and am running cm7 rc1 on it now.

Its possible that it works for the defy, but after we got the flipside upgraded to froyo, the defy recovery didn't work anymore, if I'm remembering correct. Its been a long time.

My bad it was the flipout recovery I was thinking of. Still the defy recovery wont work with my flipside. Can't mount data/recovery so it doesn't do backups or flash roms.
