No. When my phone got hard bricked after using ROM Manager and I gave it to samsung service centre, They couldnt figure it out what the problem was. Like noobs they just ordered a motherboard from company and replaced it with my prev. motherboard. They dint use any kind of jtag.

HARDBRICK if u can boot to download mode u oso cannot install firmware..its error..(i think)

USB jig worked in my fit . it brings u the emergency ARM9 download mode which we get while holding the vol up+ vol down + home + power. it worked too for me so it should work for mini too.

ya even my granny's vibrator works...it helped me unbrick my device 5 times...
