I'm using this ROM for a few days now and I'm pretty happy. It's lagging from time to time because this poor little 1 Ghz CPU has to work a bit ;)

But it's absolutely stable so far. Had 2 "unwanted" reboots but those were caused by an faulty App (on certain actions).

However the features are awesome. The not working video recording mode isn't that essential to me, hopefully CM will fix this someday.

This is my main ROM now.

Default any alternatives?

I am looking for the same thing. Currently I am running the latest CM7, which is OK. But after seeing ICS and Jellybean, I am jealous.

Will I be able to find a comparable alternative(stability, and functionality) but with either of the newer OS versions?

How is the battery life? I know google says the N1 isnt fast enough, but is that really true? I think I would be quite content with the slimmest ICS rom (something like a stock ICS).

I assume I absolutely need to use Blackrose...I will read up on that.

But will there be a GOOD JB port? And, will the N1 run it well or just laggy?

My biggest problem with my N1 is that I often have trouble with the keyboard, too many mis-spelled words, bad corrections, etc. But I don't think there is a fix for that (swype is OK).
