The last time I tried amit's touch recovery it was something like this: http://m2.paperblog.com/i/84/848888/...r-L-YRVX17.png

He simply added 4 buttons, it's not like UC's recovery (I've never tried it, but I saw the video posted by Napstar).

Correct me if I'm wrong, I used it time ago.

Of course you may inlcude it. How you do it depends on how you "serve" your ROM (CWM flashable, AROMA installer, ODIN .tar), but I'm no ROM cook. Read up on how to do it, or ask one of the experienced cooks around here

You may need to test this,

This is what you have to add in the updater script.

Code:
package_extract_file("boot.img", "/tmp/boot.img");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "dd", "if=/dev/zero", "of=/dev/block/bm17");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "dd", "if=/tmp/boot.img", "of=/dev/block/bm17");
delete("/tmp/boot.img");
bm17 is the boot partition for SL if I am not wrong,

Also as far as I know, CWM only supports boot.img and I don't know if it supports normalboot.img .. So test both.

Enjoy

That's all?! To easy

Just did a little housekeeping in the ramdisk. The fix_permissions-patch.sh is now executed before the init.d and custom boot scripts to allow successfull fix_permissions calls by them (although I don't see any reason to call it from there, but hey - it's a free world...). Further, the home button double press should be gone forever. This patch works astonishingly well
