Default [Q] Partial Nandroid restore between ICS ROMS

I have been playing around with several different ICS ROMS and the process of reinstalling can be a little tedious so I was looking for a way to speed it up. Is it possible to just restore the DATA partition via NAndroid restore when trying different ROMS without causing problems? I read thet this is not advisable with other devices such as the Captivate, but was wondering if it held true here?

If the ROM has the same/similar base, the data partition should be interchangeable. However, it doesn't hurt to use a backup app as well.

Thanks Guys...I appreciate the reply. I did try it after just to see and while the restore went fine it seemed like some things didn't work as I had hoped. Best advice is to start fresh
