Is the stock recovery same for all regions , I mean can I use it with my South Asian HTC or do I need a south asian recovery ?

Edit: my baseband also updated going straight from 2.1 to 3.0 without any OTA so this rom defiantly updates it.

No, mods are not compatible with new base.

And to your edit: The only thing you know is that it SHOWS you a new radio version. Whether it is really flashed is anyones guess. I think not. There is no radio.img in rom.zip. Where should it come from??

Just flash the ROM, there is no need to flash the boot image if you are S-OFF as Mike has included a copy with the ROM.

I don't want to sound ridiculous, but I dissected the rom and I cannot find anything that points to the conclusion that radio is included somewhere.

So if ppl really get new radio shown after ONLY flashing rom, that brings me to the conclusion that this information is wrong.

Don't ask me how or why. But something smells not right here.
As I said already above: I updated via OTA and had the new radio. Then I flashed ARHD 2.1.0 which is clearly NOT based on 1.28 and STILL had the new radio.
So it was there from before the rom-flashing. So why should suddenly new rom version include radio?

This is something to be investigated.
