So I was just following another tutorial and I am an absolute noob. So I was going to flash Clockwork Mod through Overstock and then AFTER I already did it and everything the kid then explains to me it doesn't work with the Samsung Galaxy S 4G.

I was wondering if anyone had a .tar file that worked with the Samsung Galaxy S 4G?

Or can someone tell me how to recover my phone to factory settings?
Thanks!

You can go back to stock using bhundven's [Heimdall][One-Click][UVKJ6] The KJ6 Heimdall One-Click Collection. The first download is a fully stock (based wholly on Samsung's KJ6 release) ROM. All you need is a working Java on your PC to make it work.

Is there any form of clockwork mod I can use with Odin to put onto my Samsung Galaxy S 4G so that I can continue the flashing of this MIUI rom?

Thanks!

If you go to the link I sent you, the 3rd ROM has CWM installed.

I keep getting this error when running what you told me to -

Downloading device's PIT file...
PIT file download sucessful

Local and device PIT files don't match and repartition wasn't specified!
Ending session...
Rebooting device...

And then it just reboots with the "Overstock" logo and just sits there.

Here's an Odin one-click.

Read the OP and you should be fine.

Sounds like your partition table got hosed. I'll probably get slapped for suggesting this, but you can use ODIN and chadster's [ROM-Leak][ODIN] Gingerbread 2.3.4 T959VUVKG4. It comes with the .pit file you can flash to get things going again. I'd suggest doing the following:
  • Put CODE_T959VUVKG4_CL385158_REV00_user_low_noship.tar in PDA
  • Put Hawk_Sidekick_VibrantPlus_831.pit in PIT
  • Put SGH-T959V-CSC-TMB-VIBRANTP.tar.md5 in CSC
  • Put T959VUVKG4-Phone-CL1037720.tar.md5 in Phone

Don't mess with any of the check boxes; let ODIN decide what to do. Once you're done with that, you should be OK to attempt the one-click & get on a mo-better ROM.
