Ty, you beat me to it.

Fyi, as a user as well as a developer, I look forwaed to fixes and tweaks, but as a developer constant bugging can be infuriating. Don't ask for etas, ask what you can do, even if it's only a simple logcat. It may be that one small thing that the developer working on this didn't have that 5 seconds or 5 min to do at that time. ;)

Id like to add if your first post on XDA is what's the eta on x.. Your doing it wrong.. contribute something or at least ask if you can help.. The dev's don't have to do this.. They are donating the time and effort free of charge, so be grateful, and show some appreciation by being patient. When it's done it's done.. The dev's have made huge progress on this so let them work without being bothered or pressured.. This isn't a race.. im so tired of repeating this over and over..

On another note, I have been using the DP 2.1 daily since it was released and I must say even with the small things that don't work it's usable for me..

THANKS..!

That may be useful for getting the camera working, but that is probably it -- it uses an omap chipset, so it is pretty different from our tablet. The camera is pretty low on my list of priorities though.

making progress -- i can now see the device, and interact with it, but i can't get wpa_supplicant to start

the unfortunate thing about the wifi is that the driver is too new to be bundled with the hc kernel, so samsung didn't release any source for their modifications to the opensource driver (and breaking the GPL in not doing so)

I'm fine with 3G data for the time being but I can see how no wifi would be a problem for p6810 owners.

Hi ohanar,

just read about you comments re wifi, just read the following that may be of use to you. pretty hard to troubleshot with out logcat. i'm sure you are on it. Just some food for thought.

http://blog.linuxconsulting.ro/2010/...o-android.html

dalingrin the dev who worked on HP touchpad maybe be able to assist you, from memory wifi gave them heaps trouble when they initially setup cm7 port. It seems it still remains somewhat buggy to this day.
