FINALLLLY fixed it, had to extract the .zip folder into the 'SD\clockworkmod\backup\' folder and then select "restore" from within ClockworkMod.
Choosing "install zip from SD" never worked, how annoying.

--been trying to get this installed for warranty purpose off and on for weeks now. will try this method, then slap myself it it works.

-Same damn thing--MD5 mismatch. Any suggestions????

Needa return it before my warranty runs out!

I'm guessing they're mostly merged shouldn't be a problem right?

-Did it come with Vodafone firmware, or 3 firmware? Like the bootscreen and vodafone apps etc

Not as simple as installing the rom and away you go, you'll also need to:
Check/install original 3 radio, Put back stock CID & Radio S-on, Put back stock H-boot & Eng S-on, and then be certain you are unrooted.

What version of android is this backup for?

I got my DHD shipped with the AU android Gingerbread. Would restoring this backup work? (and hopefully vodafone don't notice the android version if this one isn't Gingerbread)
