[Q] Cant get any pc36img to flash

So I can't get my phone to flash pc36imgs. I've tried the last part of mikmiks s off pc36img and I've also tried to flash a radio pack both times it loads it then says parsing and goes back to the boot loader with no change. Any ideas?

Sounds like the misc partition did not flash correctly. I'm assuming the phone is still S-ON, the reason it will not accept the PC36IMG files.

Then how can I get s off with mikmiks method when you have to flash the the old hboot? I know that's really a question for him but if you could answer it that would be awesome.

37.when your bootloader is done loading press volume up to flash the PC36IMG.zip
This is on how to unlock hboot on 2.18. I've never heard of flashing a pc36img in recovery. I've always done it in bootloader.

The only way is to flash the misc partition with the mtd-eng.img file from that same tutorial. You're not going to get anywhere unless that is done first. Then you must turn the phone S-OFF using one of the root methods.

I feel like in the OP of this thread there's a question for me somewhere.

Is your bootloader unlocked? If so, I can link you to a PC36IMG of recovery to put on the root of your SD card to flash in the bootloader. If that doesn't work, then your SD card is the issue, and you should either try a different one, or reformat the one you're trying to use.

But I'm not really sure what you're trying to do. Do you already have a custom recovery?

Ya I'm unlocked and am using clockwork. I actually talked to you about a month ago trying to get s-off but got caught up with school. On the original post I was saying I was trying to flash a radio threw bootloader but it was saying the same thing it did when I originally tried flashing your pc36img in order to downgrade hboot and get s-off. It loads the pc36img then says parsing and goes back to the bootloader with no change. I was stuck at the very end where you down grade the hboot.

If you're still S-ON, you can't flash a radio. You should be on the latest radio already. Do you want to downgrade? The 2nd link in my Sig has the instructions for S-OFF, but you don't need them to run custom ROMs.

I recommend you switch to RA-supersonic recovery. Here's the link I promised for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=22113435.

If that won't flash in bootloader, then the problem is your SD card.

Additionally, my method of downgrading requires that you first be rooted, and then perform commands to downgrade your misc partition (as shortydogg mentioned). If you didn't complete those steps successfully, then the PC36IMG file will not be parsed by HBOOT, since the main version is too old.
