Maybe an option in ILWT to not use AROMA would do the trick. I think the updater-scripts should be flexible enough to allow this.

But honestly, this is trivial.

Quick question from you champs..

I installed Cerberus while installing the ROM, now I don't need it and want to uninstall but I realize since it was installed as a system app, I can't from the UI.

I deleted the apk from /system/app/ folder but found the app was still installed after a reboot.

I am sure, it gets reinstalled on restart from some other folder..

Any clues how I could permanently remove it?

Thanks!

Reinstall the ROM wiping only dalvic cache and this time choose not to install it, won't really change anything I don't think except that and maybe any other tweaks you've done since install. Or maybe try uninstalling with titanium bckup or some such app.

Just flashed this after doing superwipe, and I've noticed I can't send mms (pics specifically). My apn is set to the T-Mobile setting.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

So, I was just informed that the person I was trying to text a pic to said she received it just fine. I have the delivery report option enabled, so that when I send a message I'm informed that it was successfully delivered. I believe I used to get those for mms while running CM 7.1 stable, but I don't get those anymore. I rely on that delivery report because of the shoddy TMO service in my area, as it lets me know my text was delivered successfully. Does that option not work with mms?

For first, remove it from system administrators list
Location & security settings > Select device administrators.

Then uninstall via any app that supports Root Uninstalling.

There's option in Cerberus by itself to make it non uninstallable, but removing it from administrators could help, try.

Thanks everyone with the ideas, and I think all of them should have worked, made all sense.

How I did it, removed it from./system/app/ folder and dumped the dalvik cache and it was gone on restart.

Thanks again to everyone who helped!

offtopic but,

wow my phone has gone to a crawl lately, even with this rom.

the hardware is starting to become limiting with the apps I have and things I do.

getting really annoying. I have an S2 sealed on the table next to me and i get tempted to open it up and make it my new phone.
