I agree with the previous post. 3 or 4 years ago the main reason for rooting a phone was to get the carrier bloatware off the phone . Those phones had hardly
any usable memory because of the bloatware and were very slow. Once you rooted the phone and got the bloatware off you had a little memory you could play with. Thus the custom roms.
But this phone comes stock with more memory than any rooted phone I have
ever had and is very fast also. That is probably why a lot of people haven't rooted
yet waiting on ICS to drop. It's a nice phone stock. Plus some of them are worried
about Verizon voiding their warranties if they root. Whatever.
